WASHINGTON D.C.- With opening arguments concluded, Senators begin asking questions in the impeachment proceedings for President Donald Trump. On Wednesday, District 1 Congressman Louie Gohmert told KTBB, “I have sat through a couple days of the proceedings, and the house has still not proved treason, bribery, high-crime, or mis-demeanor. Those are all crimes, and that is what was anticipated.”

The East Texas Congressman went on to say,”they could go straight to a vote without any additional witnesses. I think it’s very important to understand, there are like 26 witnesses depositions, that were sent over from the House, so there are witnesses. All of the people that were interviewed and deposed in the House. Those are witnesses, those depositions are available in the Senate.” Congressman Gohmert said additional witnesses could be part of the proceedings, “They would have to vote on additional witnesses in addition to those they have already received, there’s a decent chance that they will vote to have additional witnesses. But it’s likely, that part of their agreement, part of their vote will be, if any of witnesses are held up; like one if they try to get Bolton, and he’s held up in court for 6 months…none of the other witnesses will testify until such time as that is resolved in court.”
