Kick-Off Event Saturday for Lighten Up E TX 2020

TYLER — The Kick-Off Event for Lighten Up East Texas 2020 , now in it’s 8th year, is this Saturday. On Thursday Terrence Ates told KTBB, “this is not a contest for who loses the most number of pounds, this is actually a lottery for anybody that loses a little bit of weight.” Ates continued, “if you lose 5% of your body weight, you will have an equal chance to win this year’s grand prize which is going to be $5,000 cash.” The weigh in will take place inside Broadway Square Mall from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
In addition to weigh-in stations at the mall, there will also be sponsoring vendors set up giving out info and give-a-ways to help promote the event. Everyone who signs in for Lighten Up East Texas will be eligible for door prizes. Companies can also register employees at any of their worksites by becoming a Private Weighing Location. The only requirements are that you are over the age of 18 & you enter at a weighing location in East Texas.
