Search for Man Accused of Theft in Smith County

SMITH COUNTY — The Smith County Sheriff’s Office is looking for assistance in the location of a man accused of theft. According to our news partner KETK, David Dwayne Melton, 53, is accused of taking between $2,500 up to $30,000 worth of property. Officials have not released what they believe has been stolen. Melton is white, around 5’8″, an weighs approximately 220 pounds, with blue eyes and brown hair.
