City Council Addresses Animal Neglect

TYLER — Every year nearly 3,000 animals are rescued by the city of Tyler, and council members are taking notice. According to our news partner KETK, they approved new regulations for animal neglect. Shawn Markmann with Tyler Animal Services urged council members to change the current ordinance. to give detailed definitions as to what proper care for animals should be. The new change also classifies animal neglect as a class C misdemeanor.
