Smith County Man Sentenced in East Texas

TYLER — A 26-year-old Tyler man has discovered his punishment for drug trafficking violations. On Tuesday in the Eastern District of Texas Eduardo Pineda was sentenced to 108 months in federal prison. According to information presented in court, Pineda supervised a large-scale marijuana cultivation enterprise throughout the Eastern District of Texas, including sites located on public lands such as Davy Crockett and Sabine National Forests. In total, Pineda and his co-conspirators were responsible for cultivating thousands of marijuana plants.
