Lake Hawkins Drowning Victim Identified

HAWKINS — Authorities release the name of a man who drowned in Lake Hawkins. The body of Gene Vatin Jr. of Longview was found floating in the lake Saturday morning about 30 feet from a boat pier. Authorities say they do not suspect foul play, but the investigation of the death is continuing.
