Longview Monument Survey Closes November 4

LONGVIEW — The City of Longview is reminding residents that public input for the new welcome monument survey is ticking. A public survey on two options for the monument at the intersection of High Street, Mobberly Avenue, and Estes Parkway, needs to be completed in the next week. All responses for the survey must be submitted before Monday, Nov. 4. In an earlier public meeting the city presented various themes and gathered input for the monument development.

The monument is being added as a part of a planned reconfiguration of the intersection approved by the 2018 bond package. The effort is a key element of the Longview Comprehensive Plan, which calls for the improvement of the city’s southern entryways from Interstate 20 North towards Downtown.
