Veterans Town Hall in Longview

LONGVIEW — The Veterans Affairs (VA) center in Longview was filled to capacity for Thursday’s Veterans town hall meeting. According to our news partner KETK, many vets came to listen and others came with a list of concerns to address. A recurring theme of the meeting were wait times for action. Shannon Arledge, Public Affairs Officer for the Overton Brooks Medical Center in Shreveport pointed to the Mission Act of 2018 as a big stride in the right direction of improvements. The V.A. town hall meetings are held quarterly, with a goal of advancing past obstacles.
