ETCOG Announces Approved Budget

KILGORE — The East Texas Council of Governments released the Fiscal Year 2020 budget Thursday morning. According to ETCOG, 57.4 million dollars was approved in September. The budget reflects an overall increase of over $770,000 compared to the 2019 financial blue print. Most of this years increase is reflected in the Transportation and Public Safety-911 programs due to additional funding received for capital equipment. ETCOG is a voluntary association of counties, cities, school districts and special districts within the fourteen-county East Texas region.
