Large Grass Fire Under Control

TYLER – A large grass fire, that consumed over 40 acres east of Tyler, is under control. It started early Friday afternoon off the old Kilgore Highway and Farm Road 757. The fire is said to have started from the land owner’s truck, which had developed a mechanical problem. He was able to escape the burning truck and was not injured.
