Drug Raid Uncovered Massive Operation

EAST TEXAS — A raid in Tyler Tuesday night uncovered a massive drug operation. It happened around 10:30 at an apartment complex on Old Omen Road. Officers seized a half-pound of meth, along with black tar heroin, suspected cocaine, crack and marijuana. Scales, baggies and other items commonly used to distribute the drugs were also confiscated at the scene. Four suspects were arrested. The investigation started in Henderson County following a large meth bust last week.
Charles Sanchez, 52, of Tyler, was arrested and charged with manufacture and delivery of the drugs. Christopher Lovelady, 34, of Tyler, was arrested for dealing and for possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. Courtney Singleton, 34, of Tyler, was arrested for possession of a controlled substance. Teresa Michelle Steppe (pictured) 53, of Chandler, was also arrested at the scene in Tyler. Just last week, she was caught with a quarter-pound of meth in Henderson County. She was out on bond.
Henderson County Narcotics Investigators lead the raid in Tyler with the assistance of the Tyler Police Department.
