HR Director Appointed in Smith County

TYLER — Smith County has a new Human Resources Director. Commissioners took action on Tuesday appointing Esmeralda Delmas to the role. Delmas said her passion has always been helping others, and she believed she could do this through pursuing a career in human resources. She started working as a probation officer for Smith County in 2008, and became HR Coordinator in 2015. Delmas was born in Tyler and studied at Tyler Junior College before earning her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in human resources development from the University of Texas at Tyler.
