Posted/updated on: May 21, 2019 at 1:20 pm

JACKSONVILLE – Some Jacksonville residents are under a boil water notice because of a sewage spill. Over 100,000 gallons of sewage spilled around 10:00 Sunday night at South Bolton Street on Sunnydale Drive and the Lake Shore Lift Station. They believe the spill is due to excessive rainfall that occurred over the weekend. According to a city news release, the city of Jacksonville’s water supply is not under a boil water notice. This notice is for individuals with private water wells in the immediate vicinity of the spill.
