Two Plead As Jurors Were Selected

GILMER – Two persons entered guilty pleases in state District Court in Gilmer on Monday. Lasandra Ann Peoples, 40 of Gladewater, pleaded guilty to aggravated robbery. She was sentenced to 20 years in prison. In December, 2017, she was armed with a knife when she entered the home of a 75 year old Gladewater woman. She left with an undisclosed amount of money.
Ryan Lee Hollinsworth, 20, of Gilmer, pled guilty to aggravated sexual assault of a child. He received a 25 year prison sentence. The victim, who was 12 at the time, and the victim’s family, agreed to the plea agreement which presented in court.
