Letter Carriers’ Food Drive
Posted/updated on: May 11, 2019 at 4:29 pmEAST TEXAS – East Texans are invited to take part the National Association of Letter Carriers’ Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive. It is held annually on the second Saturday in May. This marks the 27th year that letter carriers have held the drive, the largest one-day food drive in the nation. It is easy for East Texans to participate. Just leave non-perishable food donations in a bag near your mailbox on Saturday. While all non-perishable donations are welcome, foods that are high in protein are most needed. Food collected during Saturday’s drive will be delivered to local community churches, food banks and food pantries for distribution.
