Some Schools Closed in East Texas

EAST TEXAS – Several East Texas schools will have a longer weekend in the wake of this week’s storms. Among those that have cancelled classes for Friday is Longview ISD, but only for specific campuses. Bramlette and J.L. Everhart elementary schools have the day off, along with Forest Park Middle School. According to our news partner KETK, the rest of the district will be open and classes in normal session. The National Weather Service says straight-line winds caused damage in Longview. Big Sandy ISD has also called off classes for Friday.
