Palestine Boil Water Notice Expanded

PALESTINE – Tuesday afternoon, a boil water notice was issued for Palestine High School and Taco Bell. It was needed because of a fire hydrant replacement. Now, the city says that notice is being expanded to include the areas of Moore Drive and the Plaza Shopping Center on South Loop 256. According to the city notice, to ensure destruction of all harmful bacteria and other microbes, water for drinking, cooking, and making ice should be boiled and cooled prior to use. The water should be brought to a vigorous, rolling boil and then boiled for two minutes. In lieu of boiling, you may purchase bottled water or obtain water from some other suitable source.
