Ja’Keal Latrenton Lockett, 24, was arrested last week by the University of Texas at Tyler police. He has been charged with burglary of a habitation with intent to commit a sex offense. Our news partner KETK reports the arrest warrant says Lockett stole his girlfriend’s master key card and PIN code that allowed him to access to any apartment in her complex. His girlfriend is a resident assistant at the complex, which houses UT Tyler students. Lockett remains in the Smith County Jail under a $250,000 bond. The school says he had been put on administrative leave until the case worked its way through the courts.
