The jury in McKinney deliberated around 3 hours before convicting Ronald Rosser, 55, of capital murder. He was automatically sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole. Rosser is accused of taking more than $5,000 to kill McKinney businessman Richard Moore. He was shot five times in the head with a handgun in February four years ago. Investigators believe Rosser was hired by Moore’s estranged wife and her lover to kill more. They are still awaiting trial on charges of capital murder.
