Complaint Spurs Pilgrim’s Pride RecallGREELEY, Colorado — Pilgrim’s Pride is recalling around 58,000 pounds of frozen chicken. It may be contaminated with other materials, specifically rubber. The frozen items were produced on January 4. The 20-pound boxes contain eight clear bags of uncooked popcorn-style chicken breast chunk fritters with rib meat, with a “Use by 10-01-2019” date. Someone complained about finding white rubber in the products. There are no reports of any illnesses. Pilgrim’s Pride has roots in East Texas and maintains a presence in the area. It’s now an international corporation with U.S. headquarters in Greeley, Colorado.
