Prison Sentence for Indecency with a Child

TYLER — A Smith County man is going to prison for indecency with a child. Darren Dickens, 46, of Arp, pleaded guilty to two charges on Monday. Thursday, State District Judge Jack Skeen sentenced Dickens to 30 years in prison. He was sentenced to 20 years on one of the charges and 10 years on the second. The sentences will be served consecutively.
