Fatal Smith County Wreck

TYLER – The Department of Public Safety continues the investigation of a two vehicle accident that left one person dead and one injured. Dead at the scene was David D. Nelson, 43, of Tyler. His car was hit by a pickup that was on the wrong side of the road. The pickup driver, Caleb Marsh, 21, of Rusk, is in serious condition in a Tyler hospital. The accident happened shortly after 7:00 Friday night on State Highway 64, seven miles east of Tyler.
