Smith County Accident Victim Identified

TROUP – The accident that killed a Troup man remains under investigation. Pronounced dead at the scene was Kevin Alexander Burleson, 37. The Department of Public Safety says his car was traveling at an unsafe speed when it left the road on a curve. The car went into a side way skid, hit a tree, and then rolled over. The accident occurred just before 4:45 Wednesday morning on County Road 2138, also known as Blackjack Road, four miles northwest of Troup.
