Four Suspects Indicted following Narcotics StingSMITH COUNTY — The Smith County Sheriff’s Department announced the arrest and indictment of four suspects on Federal drug and firearm related charges. Suri Rivera-Zuniga, 24, Kevin Russ Ivy, 57, Angelica Jaimes-Loredo, 30, and Stephen Paul Barton, 54, (pictured) were indicted November 14th, 2018, by a Federal Grand Jury in the Eastern District of Texas. According to officials, the Smith County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Investigators, Texas Department of Public Safety Criminal Investigation Division and the Drug Enforcement Administration launched a long term investigation into the distribution of dangerous drugs in Smith County as well as surrounding counties. The investigation lasted approximately seven months. During the course of the investigation, approximately four kilograms of Methamphetamine and two firearms were seized.
