Longview Kidnapping Suspect Arrested

SHREVEPORT – A Longview kidnapping suspect has been arrested in Louisiana. Arrested at a home in Shreveport was Desmond Ossie Edwards, 32. He is accused of kidnapping a woman from her High Street residence around 7:15 Friday morning. Officers were told Edwards had come to the victim’s apartment and forced her to get into his vehicle. Shreveport police later located the vehicle. The victim was released unharmed. The suspect surrendered to authorities a short time later. Edwards has been charged with aggravated assault.
