Former Judge Khoury Dies

LONGVIEW – Funeral services are pending for former State District Judge Alvin Khoury of Longview. He died Wednesday morning at Christus Good Shephard Medical Center in Longview after a brief sudden illness. After 28 years on the bench, here retired from the court in 2008. Before that, he had spent 8 years in the Gregg County District Attorney’s Office. His wife and soon wrote of his death in a Facebook posting.
