Attempted Theft Suspect Sought

TYLER – Tyler Police are looking for the man who tried to steal TVs from the Walmart on Troup Highway. It happened shortly before 1:15 Saturday morning. He is said to have placed 3 TVs in a cart and tried to leave without paying for them. Employees tried to detain him, but he broke free and ran, without the TVs, to a dark colored pickup. The truck is believed to be an extended cab Chevrolet. The suspect and the driver left before police arrived.
