Numerous Suspects Arrested following Online Sting Operation

SMITH COUNTY — A multi-agency sting operation ends with nine people behind bars for online solicitation of a minor. According to Smith County Sheriff Larry Smith, the suspects were arrested when they arrived at an undisclosed location after soliciting sex online with investigators posing as minors. Tyler Police, Longview Police, FBI, ICE agents, DPS and Highway Patrol Division arrested the suspects Wednesday and Thursday.
Charged with online solicitation of a minor are: Jamal Demetrius Thames, 28, Jose Villafranco-Gutierrez, 38, Keith Carroll Cloyd II, 31, Jeffrey Allan Keys, 36, Markeith Isiah McCuin, 21, Richard Dean Moore, 57, Joshua Williams, 23, John Dewayne Wesley Bell, 27, and Ruben Hernandez Contreras.
