UT Tyler Marketing Professor Named Outstanding Educator

TYLER – A professor of marketing in the Soules College of Business at the University of Texas at Tyler, Dr. Barbara Ross Wooldridge, has received the Marketing Management Association’s 2018 Master Teacher Award. It is presented annually to outstanding marketing educators. Wooldridge, one of three global finalists, was recognized for developing innovative marketing courses within the college. She engages students in the online environment through the use of Duolingo technology and challenges them through service learning projects with area businesses and organizations.

A member of the Soules College of Business faculty since 2007, Wooldridge is a 2013 UT System Regents’ Outstanding Teacher and a founding fellow in the UT Tyler Academy of Distinguished Teachers. In addition, she provides leadership development for the UT Tyler Center for Teaching Innovation and Excellence and serves as a volunteer adviser with the International Executive Service Corps
