Woman Not Indicted in Tyler Stabbing Death

TYLER – A Tyler woman, who had been charged with murder, has not been indicted by the Smith County grand jury. The panel decided not to indict Alicia Guthrie, 25, of Tyler. She had been charged with the stabbing death of Jeremy Taylor, 34. He died after being stabbed at a home on Lennox Avenue back in June. Gutherie told investigators Taylor had hit her in the face, pulled her hair, choked her and threw her on the bed. She got a knife and told him to leave. She said, when he lunged at her son, she stabbed him.
