TxDOT’s Weekly Roadwork Update

TYLER – TxDOT is planning to conduct a variety of construction and maintenance work throughout the Tyler District during the week of Sept. 24. In Smith County, motorists can expect traffic to move a little slower on I-20 at FM 849 for a couple of days when lane closures are implemented for painting operations. The contractor will be painting the FM 849 bridge columns. On Tuesday, Sept. 25, both inside lanes of I-20 will be closed as work is conducted. The outside lanes will be closed on Wednesday, Sept. 26. Expect delays, with travel reduced to one lane each direction during work at this location.
