One Arrested Following Two County Chase

SMITH COUNTY – A Smith County man is in the Wood County Jail after being chased by the Department of Public Safety. Derrick Markeith Francis, 27, of Lindale. Reports say he would stop for officers in Wood County and headed south into Smith County on Farm Road 14. He stopped just south of Farm Road 2015 and ran away. State troopers were able to find him and arrest him.
