Longview’s New Budget

LONGVIEW – The Longview city council has adopted a new budget. The $169 million budget will take effect the first of October. Thursday’s vote for the new budget was unanimous. And it proposed that the tax rate remain the same, which is 50.99 center per $100 valuation. That vote on the tax rate is scheduled for September 13th. If it remains the same, that will make six straight years the tax rate has remained steady.
