Card Skimming Suspects Arrested in TylerTYLER – Three Cubans, who are living in Austin, have been arrested in Tyler in connection with a gas skimming scheme. They were arrested at the Exxon station at 858 SSE Loop 323. Tyler police were alerted shortly before 4:45 Friday afternoon that the suspect had returned to the station to get their skimmers. One tried to run into the woods, but all three were arrested. Police say the three are involved in an ongoing investigation where they used stolen credit card information to obtain cash from several ATM machines and numerous gift cards purchases at several retail merchants in Tyler. Investigators recovered numerous items of evidence that links them to skimmers and fraud.

This case remains an ongoing investigation due to the scope of crimes being committed in Tyler and East Texas by the suspects and recovery of evidence.

The suspects are Yoerlan Suarez Corrales, 38, Felipe Manuel Nieves Perez, 32, and Dairon Julio Jimenez Roja, 28. Each are charged with two counts of unlawful interception, use or disclosure of wire, oral or electronic communications. The Bond on Corrales and Perez was set at $1.5 million. The bond on Roja is $2.5 million.
