A Long Time Tyler Police Officer Has Died

TYLER – Funeral services are scheduled for a former Tyler police officer. Joseph Alfred Barron, 90, died on Monday. He joined the police department on May 22, 1957 and retired in 1989 with 32 years of service. Visitation will be on Thursday, July 19th from 4:00 to 7:00pm at Caudle Rutledge Funeral Home in Lindale. The funeral service will be on Friday, July 20th, at 10:00am at New Harmony Baptist Church.
