Smith County Murder Trials Rescheduled

TYLER – The trials of three men charged with a Smith County murder, have been rescheduled. All three appeared in state district court in Tyler Tuesday morning. The trial of Martin Wesley Reynolds Jr. was rescheduled for August 20th. The trial of Colton Wade Tate and Nathan Ryan Garcia, was rescheduled for September 24th. The three, all from Whitehouse, are charged in last November’s shooting death of Andrew Carpenter, 19. The shooting occurred at a residence on Deerwood Drive, southwest of Whitehouse. The shooting is said to have been the result of an argument between Reynolds and Carpenter.
