Cruz Campaigns in East Texas

EAST TEXAS — Republican U.S. Senator Ted Cruz made campaign stops in Tyler and Longview Thursday. One big difference between Cruz and Democratic opponent Beto O’Rourke: immigration policy. Cruz told our news partner KETK, “There is no race in the country on which there is a starker divide than this Senate race. In my entire six years in the Senate, I have been the leading defender of securing the border and building a wall.” O’Rourke advocates for no border wall and a new policy. Cruz leads O’Rourke by about eight points according to a recent poll from RealClear Politics.
