Sheriff’s Office Seeks Naloxone DonationTYLER — The Smith County Sheriff’s Office has applied for a donation of more than 100 kits of naloxone, a medication designed to rapidly reverse opioid overdoses. According to our news partner KETK, the sheriff’s office is trying to be proactive and get ahead of the opioid crisis. If the agency gets this donation, all deputies and investigators will be given naloxone injectors in case one of them comes into contact with deadly opioids or fentanyl. All of the sheriff’s office’s K-9s are already equipped with naloxone.
