Woman Killed Crossing Highway

LONGVIEW — A woman is dead after being hit by two vehicles while crossing Longview’s Loop 281 Saturday morning around 5:15 near the Birdsong Street intersection. When officers arrived they were told the woman was walking in the middle of the Loop’s inside westbound lane when she was struck by a truck. She was then hit by another vehicle and died at the scene. She did not have any identification on her, and her body was sent for autopsy. Police continue to investigate.
