Murder Suspect Surrenders to Authorities

SMITH COUNTY — A Tyler woman wanted for murder has turned herself in. Alicia Radreaka Guthrie, 25, surrendered to the Smith County Jail just after midnight Thursday morning. Jeremy Taylor, 34, died Tuesday after being stabbed early Saturday evening. The stabbing occurred at a residence on Lenox Avenue. Investigators say he had been stabbed by his ex-girlfriend, Guthrie. She was previously arrested and charged with aggravated assault family violence with a weapon. She also had three outstanding city court warrants. Guthrie had been free on bond on the original complaint. Her bond has been set at $150,000.
