According to our news partner KETK, the request for the tract of land at Bellwood Lake and the Loop was withdrawn by the applicant, Xing Tan. But the plans continue under a different zoning plan. He says, “I believe this represents a ‘win-win’ for the city of Tyler. The city will receive all of the benefits of a major economic development project that, at the same time, will meet all of the current zoning allowances and restrictions.” He also said the project should bring more development to the area.
