Assault Suspect Arrested in Marshall

MARSHALL – A man wanted for aggravated assault has been arrested in Marshall. Officers had been looking for Oscar Lavelle Smith, 26, of Marshall. He had been named in a warrant for aggravated assault family violence stemming from a June 18th assault on Alexander Street. The victim suffered serious, but non-life threatening injuries. Last Saturday, Smith was arrested and booked into the Harrison County Jail. His bond has been set at $100,000.
