Operation Lifesaver in Longview

LONGVIEW – Some Longview policemen rode the train on Friday. It was part of Operation Lifesaver. They were watching for drivers who disregarded the railroad crossing signals. The goal of the partnership is to bring awareness to the dangers of crossing the railroad tracks when the lights are flashing or the arms are down, or both. Yes, they did write several citations.
