Prison for a Dad in Daughter’s Death

LONGVIEW – In state district court in Longview Monday, Aaron Castile Bowling, 28, of Longview, pleaded guilty to the murder of his 2 year old daughter. He was sentenced to 45 years in prison by District Judge Alfonso Charles. Alanis Bowling was taken by her mother, Jamie Lee Nelson, 26, to the hospital in December, 2015. Because of the severity of her injuries, she was later flown to a Dallas hospital, where she died. As officers began to investigate the case, the parents provided a story that was not consistent with the child’s injuries. Her mother is charged with negligence and endangering a child. The case against her is still pending.
