Longview Man Faces Charges in Fatal Accident

LONGVIEW – A Longview man is charged with intoxication manslaughter and intoxication assault following a late Sunday night accident. According to our news partner KETK, Longview police say 46-year-old Christopher Roman Darden was traveling north on Eastman Road near the East Marshall Avenue intersection when he veered into oncoming traffic and struck a southbound vehicle head-on. The driver, Gloria Guillermo Arrerola, was killed, and her passenger, Joselyn Esparza, was taken to a hospital with life-threatening injuries. Darden was released from a hospital and jailed around 4:10 Monday morning. No bond was immediately set. Darden has a lengthy criminal history dating to 1995.
