Wanted Man Arrested on Drug Charges during Traffic Stop

ATHENS — Two Henderson County sheriff’s deputies arrested a wanted Gun Barrel City man shortly after midnight Monday, charging him with possession of methamphetamine and a pipe commonly used to smoke illegal drugs. Sheriff Botie Hillhouse says Daryl Anthony Clark, 21, was a passenger in a vehicle traveling through the Oak Harbor subdivision when law officers conducted a traffic stop and found the meth and pipe. The suspect was wanted on two warrants out of the Log Cabin Police Department for not having a driver’s license and failing to appear in court.
