Citizens Aid in Burglary Suspect’s Arrest

LONGVIEW – Because of citizen involvement, a Longview burglary suspect is in custody. Charged with burglary of a vehicle is Frederick Eugene Williams, 39, of Longview. The victim is said to have seen the man take a cell phone from his car. The victim, and numerous other persons, began following Williams. Longview police arrived to arrest him and to recover the cell phone. Williams remains in the Gregg County Jail.
