Mineola Fire Victim Identified

MINEOLA – Investigators have identified a visitor from Mexico as the victim of a Mineola fire. Gerardo Valadez, 32, died in the fire at the Mineola Motor Lodge on West Broad Street. His body was sent to a Tyler lab for autopsy. Fire Marshal David Madsen said it was reported around 11:00 Monday night. The cause of the fire has not yet been determined.
