Two Arrested for Stealing Saddles

TYLER – Two men have been arrested for stealing saddles and tack from a Smith County ranch last month and trading them for fake drugs. Arrested were Jacob Aaron McDougal, 26, of Henderson Addison Hayden Reynolds, 22, of Gladewater. Investigators with the Smith County Sheriff’s Office, with assistance from Texas and Southwestern Cattle Raisers Association Special Ranger Larry Hand, were able to link the suspects to the theft. Reynolds was arrested by Gregg County Deputies. Smith County Deputies arrested McDougal. Both have been charged with burglary of a building. Reynold has also been charged with violation of probation and McDougal is also charged with violation of parole.
