Motorcyclist Dead following Head-On Collision

TYLER — A Chandler man has died after crossing into oncoming traffic and hitting a car head-on. According to Tyler Police, the accident happened just before 11:30 Thursday night on west Grande. James Finkie was pronounced dead at a local hospital. Police said it appeared that Finkie lost control of the bike and crossed over into oncoming traffic. He hit a Ford Focus head-on. Officers do not believe alcohol was a factor in the wreck.
